Operations Manager
Owen Allen joined The Rugeley Rose in 2025 with over a decade of acclaimed experience in theatre leadership, community arts, and venue management. Known for his inclusive approach, he is also the founder and CEO of Thespian Arts Theatre CIC, which he grew from a single workshop into a regionally recognised organisation engaging over 400 young people each week. His work has earned multiple awards, including Walsall’s Young Person of the Year and the Britain Has Spirit Regional Award. At The Rugeley Rose, Owen continues to build his reputation as a transformative leader—delivering high-quality productions, expanding community engagement, and strengthening the venue’s role as a sustainable, cultural hub. He is also advancing his professional development through a CMI Level 6 Diploma in Leadership & Management, working toward Chartered Manager status.

Lead Technician
Jordan Krause has been instrumental in elevating the technical standards of The Rugeley Rose since 2022. With extensive experience in theatre production and a sharp eye for detail, Jordan oversees all aspects of technical delivery—from lighting design and sound engineering to special effects and backstage coordination. He is also the go-to person for all things IT, keeping the venue’s digital systems running smoothly and efficiently. His innovative problem-solving and calm, professional presence during live performances have made him a trusted and respected figure within the team. Passionate about creating immersive theatrical environments, Jordan consistently goes above and beyond to ensure each show meets the highest standards.

Gemma Squire has been a vital part of The Rugeley Rose team since 2010, serving as the venue’s cleaner and so much more. With unmatched knowledge of the building and day-to-day operations, Gemma is the go-to person for support across the team. Her exceptional work ethic, reliability, and friendly nature has made her an invaluable asset to the venue and a beloved figure among staff, performers, and visitors alike. The Rose simply wouldn’t run as smoothly without her.
